Erick Sanchez - Guitar Erick Sanchez began playing the guitar as a teen, emulating rock heroes such as Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker, Tony Iommi and Jimi Hendrix. After high school he decided to pursue music on a more serious note graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from California State University and studying privately with jazz/rock guitarist David Murdy and classical guitarist David Grimes.
After graduating, Erick turned back to his rock n roll
roots performing on the Southern California club circuit with acts such
as The Divine, Psycotropic, and Jokebox. With his passion for rock,
classical training, and years of experience, Erick has successfully
brought his own unique sound and style through a mixture of melody and
rawness to Graceful Degradation.
Stephen Brown - Bass A Phoenix native, Stephen has over eleven years of experience playing bass and singing back up vocals at renowned venues such as the Rhythm Room and the Coffee Plantation. An artist with an immense passion for music, Stephen’s strong bass playing ability, catchy hooks, and clever melodies, capture an essence that truly defines Graceful Degradation.
Jason Allie - Drums Jason, who has played for over 10 years at many highly coveted rock clubs such as Joe's Grotto, Chasers, and the Mason Jar, joined the band in 2006. Truly the heartbeat of Graceful Degradation, formerly the drummer of Goathead Thorn, he takes Graceful Degradation to another level with his passion, fury, inspiration, and power on the drums.
Nicole Heffington - Vox During her
younger years, singing along to Pat Benetar, Olivia Newton-John, and
Missing Persons albums and performing"mock-rock concerts" for her
family and friends was the norm. In college, punk rock and ska, brought
forth new interests and inspired musical projects. After working with
various cover bands, Nicole joined an acoustic duo project, which
allowed her to discover new styles and explore her abilities as a
co-songwriter.
After seven years of performing at various clubs, art galleries, and local events, Nicole joined Graceful Degradation. As lead vocalist, she brings to the band a mixture of stage presence, creative lyric writing, and vocal diversity.
